Divorce Angels is built for one of the most private moments in your life. We take that seriously. This policy explains exactly what we collect, where it goes, and what we never do — in plain language.

1 What we collect

When you create an account we collect your name and email address. That's it for personal information.

The financial data you enter — assets, debts, income, expenses — is stored in your personal account in our secure database. You own this data entirely.

We do not collect your Social Security number, tax returns, bank login credentials, or any government-issued ID.

2 Where your data lives

Your account and financial data is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database with:

Encryption at rest — your data is encrypted on disk at all times
Encryption in transit — all connections use HTTPS/TLS
Row-level security — your data is mathematically isolated from every other user. No employee or system can query another user's records
EU/US data centres — Supabase is SOC 2 compliant

Your password is never stored in plain text. We use Supabase Auth which stores only a secure cryptographic hash.

3 How Angel uses your data

Angel is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. When you ask Angel a question or run an analysis, your financial data is included in the request so Angel can give you personalized guidance.

What Anthropic does with this: Anthropic does not use API data to train their AI models. Your financial information is processed to generate a response and is not retained by Anthropic beyond that request. You can read Anthropic's full policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

We never send your data to any other third-party AI service.

4 What we never do

✕We never sell your data. Your information is never sold to data brokers, advertisers, or any third party.

✕We never share your data with your spouse. Your account is entirely private. Your spouse cannot access your information.

✕We never show ads. There is no advertising on Divorce Angels. Your data is not used for any marketing purpose.

✕We never share with lawyers or courts. Only you can choose to export and share your data.

✕We never train AI on your data. Your financial information is never used to improve any AI model.

5 Your rights

You have full control over your data at all times:

Export — download everything as a JSON backup anytime from Settings
Delete — permanently delete your account and all data from Settings → Delete All My Data
Correct — update any information at any time
Portability — your exported data is in standard JSON format, readable by any system

Deletion is permanent and immediate. We do not retain backups of deleted accounts.

We secure the platform — you secure your device. A few things worth doing:

Use a strong, unique password and don't share it
Sign out when using a shared or public computer
Use a private email address your spouse doesn't have access to
Be mindful of who can see your screen
